Present research work was aimed to observe possible changes in the metabolism of rice plants (Oryza sativa L.) through drought stress. Rice belongs family Poaceae. It is considered as a vital food crop across all major countries worldwide. prone be affected by Therefore, developing tolerant cultivars cereal crops assumed considerable importance. This carried out with an objective study Screening against water stress and compare biochemical characteristic among different sensitive cultivars. A set 25 were screened at vegetative stage various morpho-physiological characters such moisture, relative content (RWC), membrane stability index(MSI), injury(MI), seedling length weight.
